Lady Hawks Softball Mission Statement 

The purpose of the Horizon High School Softball Program is the development of leadership, learning, integrity, health, and commitment to excellence and to improve performance of each individual in the classroom and on the field. Our program is aimed at assisting our student athletes in reaching their goals. Horizon High School's Softball Program is designed to provide each student athlete with the proper means to achieve their desired results. 

I am very proud of the players I train and have very high expectations for them. I expect the following from each player:

Enjoyment of the Process 

Results are not guaranteed; they are earned. To be sure you as a player get the most out of the Horizon High School Softball Program, each player must be committed to improving performance and willing to give maximum effort and be honest with themselves so that we may strive for excellence together. 

Dedication and diligence to the game will pay off in the future.

Dear Parents,

Thanks for your interest in the “Lady Hawk” Fastpitch Softball Program and in helping your student athlete. We as coaches need to remember that it’s an honor and a privilege to handle someone’s child. You would not send your child to a daycare that had a bad reputation.

Remember the bunt defense, rise ball, two-strike approach, etc… that we teach them will not have anything to do with their marriage, job, or raising their children. If we refer to ourselves as “coaches”, we need to get them ready for the “Real Games”, life’s personal and professional changes.

The players will “never care to see how much we know, until they know how much we care”!

The Lady Hawk Fastpitch Softball Program will always remember that we are in the kid business, not softball!
